OVERVIEW

The Mess Room, located in a beautiful Grade II listed building in the market town of Skipton, North Yorkshire, was founded in 2019 by husband and wife team Julia and Steven McNamara. Initially a craft beer bar, its popularity has seen it grow into a fully fledged music and events venue whilst still retaining the charm and independent nature of the original bar.  ​

 

We host regular events throughout the year, including  burlesque nights, comedy nights, quizzes, open mics and ticketed events, the majority of which sell out well in advance.  The Mess Room has two bars and a beer garden, and serves a wide range of craft beers, 4 cask ale lines and an extensive cocktail and spirits menu.
