Craig Brauns & Dave Weeks

When the legendary Island Records Chris Blackwell first heard Craig Brauns' soaring vocals on a CD, he thought the rock and rolling balladeer he was listening to was a female vocalist...perhaps a Janis Joplin-type folkie showing off her vocal range? Throw in some classic English rock vocals, referencing the likes of Jagger, Bowie, Plant, and presented with the naturalness of Ray Davies and this was no Joplin, rather a singer with a trademark drawl all of his very own.

Craig Brauns has a distinctive voice and stage presence, and a vocal range that produces searing rock and roll, foot stomping serenades and break-your-heart ballads. He cut his teeth as a live act in his stomping ground - the legendary bars and clubs of Camden Town – providing a fresh take on some of rock n rolls biggest influences.

Originally from Bradford, he is a singer song writer equally comfortable fronting a band as playing solo and he will be joined on Friday by his keyboard player Dave Weeks.

Craig will also be back with us in July, with his full band, the magnificent, 'Long Shadow Family'.
