ABOUT US

The Mess Room came to life in August 2019  husband and wife duo, Julia and Steven McNamara, had the idea of turning a small garden shop and courtyard, into an intimate, music loving bar, selling only the very best craft beer and drinks.
 
Our aim was to try to create an environment which replicated those moments when an impromptu gathering occurs at a friend's house and drinks, music, chat, dancing and laughter ensue! We want everyone to leave The Mess Room with a smile on their face, happy memories and the odd new friend or two!

We 're delighted that we seem to have achieved this, and are excited for the next adventure which sees us taking on additional space and creating 'The Mess Room Bar & Live Lounge'. We'll still have the same vibe and ethos, however the additional space means we'll also be able to be more creative with our events, host full bands, and promote new and emerging musicians.

We're very excited for the future and hope you will join us on our journey.
